German auto-parts manufacturer to build unit in Morocco

German auto-parts manufacturer "Volkswagen Bordnetze" will build an industrial unit in the duty-free area of Tangiers in northern Morocco, Moroccan diplomatic sources in Berlin said.
The project, requiring an initial investment of 200 million DH (about $19.04 million), will be built over four hectares and will generate 2,000 to 2,500 jobs, the sources said.
"Volkswagen Bordnetze," an affiliate of the European leading car manufacturer Volkswagen, has a large network of industrial units in Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Turkey.
