Saudi Arabia will not permit women to drive a car

The Saudi minister of the Interior prince Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz has asserted that permitting the woman to drive a car in the Kingdom will not be permitted.

In a statement to the Saudi daily al-Jazira issued on Thursday, the Saudi minister added that at the meantime the " Saudi " society refuses this matter clearly. He added that writing or discussing this matter is futile and a mere debating views which are of no value.

Worthy mentioning that a heated debate is currently taken place in the Saudi media circles on woman's driving the car and the papers, on daily basis publish articles for Saudi intellectuals who back or oppose this issue.
