Morocco, China set up business council
Morocco-China, Business, 1/24/2001
Morocco and China have agreed to set up a business council that will contribute to the consolidation of cooperation and partnership between the two countries.
The agreement, creating the council, was concluded between the Moroccan industrial federation (CGEM) and the Chinese council for the promotion of international trade (CCPIT).
The accord was concluded on the fringes of a meeting of the Moroccan-Chinese Joint Commission, held Jan. 18-22 in Beijing.
The Council will seek to develop trade exchanges and business relations between Morocco and China as well as the promotion of joint ventures, especially in industrial fields.
The Council will also serve as a tool to develop triangular cooperation between Morocco, China and Sub-Saharan Africa in public works, infrastructure and technology transfer.
