Iran - Jordan cooperation talks cover all areas

The chairman of the Islamic Shoura council in Iran Muhammad Karoubi has expressed his country's backing comprehensive and just settlement which provides for the restoration back of the usurped Palestinian rights to its owners.
In a statement during the plenary talks he held on Monday evening with the speaker of the Jordanian parliament Abdul Hadi al-Majali Karoubi called on the Arab and Islamic nations to the need of preparing to withstand the grave israeli schemes and challenges.
Karoubi, who presided over the Iranian parliamentary delegation to these talks renewed his country's condemnation to the international embargo imposed on Iraq. He stressed Tehran's intention to take the necessary measures to settle the Iraqi problems.
As for the Iranian- Jordanian parliamentary relations, karoubi stressed his determination to follow up all issues aiming at developing cooperation between the two countries in all trade, industrial, agricultural and investment areas as well as to work for implementing the water project of al-Deisi basin waters to the Jordanian capital Amman. This project is proposed by the Iranian side.
Karoubi expected that next exchanged visits between the two countries ' s officials to witness more steps to strengthen bilateral co-operation relations.
For his part, the Speaker of the Jordanian parliament has called for further backing to the Palestinian people to restore back their lands and usurped rights.
Al-Majali stressed the need of recognizing the rights of the Palestinians to establishing their own independent state on their native soil with Jerusalem as a capital and the return of the Palestinian refugees to their lands, according to international legitimacy resolutions.
Al-Majali also stressed his country's rejection to the idea of settling the Palestinian refugees and the attempts made to impose the conspiracy of the " substitute homeland" for the Palestinians.
He stressed backing for the efforts calling for imposing an international inspection on the Israeli nuclear arsenal and warned against its consequences against stability and security in the region.
Al-Majali also stressed his country's desire to expand areas of economic co-operation in Iran through joint projects and investments and the alleviation the burden of world debts that Jordan has to pay.
