Sudan denies conflict over constitutional posts
Sudan, Politics, 1/24/2001
A Sudanese high-ranking governmental source has denied a conflict between the military and the civilians in the al-Inqaz ( salvation) government over the constitutional posts in the country, stressing continued alliance among these sides.
The advisor for the Sudanese President for security affairs Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Muhammad Khaeir said in an interview with the Sudanese daily al-Sahafa issued on Tuesday that the " salvation" program will continue to be implemented by every one who is " strong and honest," regardless of his identity being a civilian or a military.
He considered every thing stated about any form of conflicts between the military-men and the civilians as mere rumors whose aims are known. He added that abidance by the election program of the President will be the criterion for testing the executive systems, adding that this program itself has stemmed from the convictions and the very experience of " the salvation " movement.
