Iran for boosting relations with the Arab states
Regional-Iran, Politics, 1/24/2001
Iranian vice President Hassan Habibi has asserted that his country has worked continuously to improve relations with the Arab states, noting that " results on this improvement can be felt in various areas."
Habibi continued in an interview with the Saudi daily al-Watan issued on Tuesday " we want to build relations with all states with whom we do not have problems, except with Israel with which all Iranians do not want relations."
Concerning relations between Iran and the US, under the new US administration, Habibi added that the improvement of these relations or their recession between the two countries is linked to the foreign policy to be pursued by President George Bush and what they will be for Iran, not to interfere in Iran's internal affairs and the relations to be built on the ground of an independent state talks to an independent state.
