Collin Powel to visit the region

Well-informed American sources said that the US secretary of state Colen Powel will hold his first visit to the Middle East by the end of February during which he will stop in Kuwait on February 26 to take part in the 10th anniversary of its liberation.
The sources told the Kuwaiti daily al-Qabas that it is so far not clear which capitals Powel will visit. But the sources explained that Powel through this visit wants to explore and to become acquainted with the situation in the region. The sources expected Powel to also visit Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
