Putin to visit Damascus

Moscow's ambassador in Damascus Robert Markerian has announced that the Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Damascus.

In a statement to SANA's correspondent in Moscow, the ambassador added a study is underway to set the final date for starting this visit which has not declared it.

Meantime, the Russian minister of industry and sciences Alexander Dondikon who is also the chairman of the Rusian side in the Russian- Syrian permanent committee for cooperation said on Saturday during his meeting with the Syrian minister of irrigation who recently visited Moscow that a nearby meeting will be held between President Bashar al-Assad and the Russian President Putin.
