Moussa in Libya for coordination of stances

Egypt's Foreign Minister Amr Moussa ended a two-day visit to Libya on Saturday. In statements to reporters on Thursday, Moussa said that his visit to Libya comes within the context of the Egyptian-Libyan initiative on the Sudanese reconciliation as well as coordinating stances in the coming period.

A trilateral meeting, grouping Moussa, Libyan Secretary of the General People's Committee for African Unity Ali Abd Al-Salam Al-Turayki and Sudanese Foreign Minister Mostafa Othman Ismail will be held on Friday.

Moussa said that his talks with a number of Sudanese Officials and Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Mohammed Othman El-Merghani as well as coordination with the Inter-Government Authority on Development (IGAD), will be tabled on the agenda of talks in Tripoli.

The Foreign Minister added that his talks with Libyan officials would focus on the latest developments in the Arab relations as well as bilateral ties.

Responding to questions on the Egyptian-Libyan relations, Moussa said that the two countries were having friendly relations.
