Sharon sends messages to world leaders

In its Friday's issue, the Israeli daily Maareve said that the chairman of the Israeli Likud party Ariel Sharon has during the two past weeks made contacts with leaders of the Arab world including those who does not recognize Israel as a state in order to make assurances to them that he intends to work for achieving peace.
The paper added, as stated by the Israeli radio, that Majli Eahbei from Beit Jin village, who is a candidate for a ministerial post at Sharon's next government had conveyed these messages.
