Syrian premier confers with Oteiqa, JICA chief

The Syrian prime minister Muhammad Mustafa Miro on Thursday met the chairman of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency JICA and members of the accompanying delegation.

present at the meeting were the minister of state for planning and Japan's ambassador in Damascus Talks dealt with strengthening co-operation between Syria and Japan in the areas of scientific, technical, cultural and economic co-operation and JICA's role in developing these relations and strengthening them in the service of the common interests of the two peoples in Syria and Japan.

The Syrian prime minister also received on Thursday the director general of the Arab intellectual forum Ali Ahmad Oteiqa inister al-Zaem.

Talks dealt with issues of inter- Arab, economic and cultural development and investment as well as the importance of benefiting from the Arab technical and intellectual and scientific expertise to serve Arab integration in all walks of life.
