Iraqi - Jordanian oil pipeline to be erected

Governmental sources in Amman said on Wednesday that the Jordanian Government gave the signals to start the implementation of the project to erect a crude oil pipeline to the Jordanian oil refinery of al-Zarqa.
The sources added that the Jordanian cabinet on Wednesday formed a preliminary committee for the project of erecting the oil pipeline including representatives for the ministries of finance and energy, the central Bank, the social insurance company and the Jordanian oil refinery company.
The sources explained that this mission of this committee is to prepare a memorandum of understanding that can be signed between the implementing company and the government on the ownership and operating the project as well as to draw its terms of references and feasibility study.
