Jordanian parliament members call on the King to pardon political prisoners

The parliamentary freedom committee at the Jordanian parliament has submitted a message to King Abdullah in which it appealed to release a pardoning for the political prisoners.

The memorandum submitted to the king said that the parliamentary committee had held several visits to prisons and detention centers in Jordan and met with several prisoners and found pout that most of them were mislead politically and that they had admitted their faults and realized that constitutional means are the only way to correct any governmental policy.

The committee appealed to the King to pardon those prisoners and to give them the chance to integrate themselves in the Jordanian life.

Worthy mentioning and according to official statistics there are 40 political prisoners in Jordan, while the Arab organization for human rights says that number of political prisoners in Jordan is 60.
