Rabat hosts Arab conference on children ill-treatments

A three-day Arab colloquy on "Children ill-treatments and exploitation" was opened here Monday by Moroccan minister of higher education, executive training and scientific research, Najib Zerouali.

Participants are looking into the various forms of children ill treatments and exploitation both inside and outside the family, the relationship between ill-treatment and delinquency and the role of governmental and voluntary bodies in protecting children.

Participants come from eight Arab countries (Jordan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Sudan, Qatar, Kuwait, Algeria and Morocco).

The conference is held by the Moroccan education science school and the Riyadh-based Arab academy of science and security.
