Regional, Politics, 1/15/2001
Morocco will be hosting next February the Arab childhood forum that will examine a set of issues related to childhood in the Arab world.
The problem of homeless children, some 10 million in the Arab world, will top the agenda of the five-day encounter.
Participants, including Arab experts and specialists in children issues will also look into children rights, the role of non-governmental organizations in addressing the issue and means to ensure better living conditions, education and health to Arab children.
The forum will examine the situation of Palestinian exiled children and Israel's treatment of Palestinian children.
The encounter is held by the Arab children and development council and the Moroccan observatory of children rights.
