Jordanian King gets a message from Barak

King Abdullah II of Jordan has received a message from the Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak concerning latest developments in the ME peace process. The message was conveyed by Barak's advisor Dani Yatoum during his meeting with King Amman on Sunday. The King was briefed on the discussions held on the Palestinian track.
During the meeting, the Jordanian King stressed the need of exerting every possible effort to prevent the waste of time in order to achieve peace according to international legitimacy resolutions and the principles on the ground of which the peace process was built.
The Jordanian King stressed the need of ending the sufferings of the Palestinian people and halt the aggression against them as well as meeting their legitimate rights through the establishment of their own independent state with Jerusalem as a capital, as basics to achieve peace in the region.
The meeting was attended by the Jordanian prime minister Ali Abu al-Ragheb and the foreign minister Abdul Illah al-Khatib.
