Moroccan - British Trade on the Rise
Morocco-UK, Economics, 1/12/2001

Trade exchanges between Morocco and Britain went up from $ 400 million in 1998 to $ 1.2 billion in 1998.

The increase makes of Britain Morocco's third trade partner, Moroccan industry, trade, energy and mining minister, Mustapha Mansouri said at a meeting with British ambassador to Morocco, Anthony Layden.

The trade volume is yet short of the two countries' potentials, Mansouri said, calling on British investors to benefit from the investments and partnership possibilities offered by Morocco.

Layden said his country is ready to consolidate commercial and economic cooperation with Morocco.

In abid to give a new impetus to this cooperation, British commerce delegate minister, Richard Coborn, will visit Morocco next March.
