Arab follow up committee concludes meetings, commit to Arab principles

The Arab follow up committee emerged from the urgent Cairo Arab summit in conclusion of its meeting which was held in Tunisia issued a statement in which it called for the need to firmly stand in confrontation of the escalated Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
The committee stressed the importance of committing to the Madrid's conference of 1991 based on achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East region, according to UN resolutions 242 and 338 and the land for peace formula and Israel's withdrawal from palestinian and the occupied Golan heights until June 4, 1967 border lines and from parts so far left from South Lebanon until the internationally recognized borders including Shebaa farms, according to UN security council resolution 425.
The committee called for releasing all Arab prisoners and detainees in the israeli detention centers and jails.
The committee stressed the need of continued Arab move at the regional and international levels, especially at the UN Security council, the European Union and the African unity Organization in backing the Arab position towards the escalated Israeli aggression against the palestinian people.
The statement indicated that these Israeli practices undermines security and stability in the region and constitutes an aggression against the Arab nation and threatens world peace and security.
The statement underlined the importance of revitalizing the Arab boycott of Israel and also underlined the importance of the Arab move to withstand the Israeli hostile campaign aiming at misleading the world public opinion. It stressed that the realization of a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East is the real guarantee to ensure security for all countries of the region.
