UAE's illiteracy decreased to less 10%

The minister of education in the United Arab Emirates UAE Abdul Aziz al-Sharhan has stressed the UAE's interest in eradicating illiteracy and teaching adults through its special vision on the comprehensive development process to qualify the productive man.
In a speech he delivered on the occasion of the Arab celebration of the Arab illiteracy eradication day which fell January 8, al-Sharhan added that illiteracy rate reached in the UAE less than 10%.
He noted that some 113 centers for teaching adults were opened for this academic year that can include some 17250 learners, so as to avail all of various ages to be educated and interact with the requirements of time.
