Return of Palestinian Refugees indispensable

Egypt's Foreign Minister Amr Moussa described as critical and dangerous the current phase in the Middle East peace process.

In press statements Tuesday, Moussa said the process should take into consideration the Palestinian and Muslims' rights in Jerusalem as well as the refugees' right to return home.

The refugees' right of return and the issues of water and Jerusalem will be subject to discussions in meetings of the follow-up committee, slated in Tunisia on Thursday.

He voiced hope a just and lasting peace would finally be achieved in the region.

On Saudi-Egyptian relations, Moussa said he will discuss with Foreign Minister Saud AL Faysal a number of related issues in teir meeting Tuesday and Wednesday, which would be a chance for discussing Arab affairs, especially in view of the recent agreement on regular convention of the Arab summit, which necessitated permanent consultations.

On the occassion of the meeting of the Saudi-Egyptian committee, experts will follow up achievements made and moves to be taken in the different domains of cooperation, Moussa said, noting that there was a joint consular panel meeting at the same time.

Amr Moussa said he carries a message from President Hosni Mubarak to king Fahd Ben Abdul Aziz which he described as a one of greetinqs, friendship and consultations.
