Some 81 % of People polled by Qatari TV Channel say Sahara is Moroccan

Some 81 per cent of people polled via Internet by the widely-watched Qatari TV Channel Al-Jazira said the Sahara is a Moroccan territory. Out of the 2,344 people polled Tuesday, 1,898 backed Morocco's rights over its southern provinces against a minority of 445, who were for separation between the Sahara and the homeland, Morocco, the Doha-based Satellite channel said.

Up to 21h00 GMT Tuesday, 82 per cent of the 3,188 polled people said they support the legitimacy of the cause of Morocco's territorial integrity. The poll will continue until January 14.
