Saudi, British trade relations highlighted

The Saudi minister of commerce Osama Bin Jaafar Faqih on Tuesday in al-Riyadh met with the British minister of State for commerce affairs Richard Kaborn and members of the accompanying delegation, currently in a visit to Saudi Arabia which will last for several days.
During the meeting the two sides reviewed areas of trade and economic co-operation and means of developing and boosting trade exchange between the two countries and setting up further investment projects.
Worthy mentioning that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries reached in 1999 10093,5 million Riyals and number of Saudi- British joint projects reached 125. Total capital invested in these projects reached 3740,43 Saudi riyals.
Meantime, the Saudi minister of planning Khaled al-Quseibi discussed with the British minister during their meeting on Tuesday in al-Riyadh means of strengthening cooperation relations between the two countries in the economic and trade fields.
The British minister started his visit to Saudi Arabia on Monday.
