Chief of world customs organization in Morocco

Secretary general of the World Customs Organization, Michel Danet, who is currently on a visit to Morocco, conferred in Rabat Monday with Prime Minister Abderrahmane Youssoufi on ways to enhance cooperation between Morocco and the world organization. The two sides surveyed the decisions made by the meeting of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) held in Marrakesh in 1994.
Danet hailed the efforts made by Morocco to keep pace with the liberalization of international trade.
The World Customs Organization, set up in 1952 in Brussels, gathers more than 140 customs departments from around the world. It seeks to improve world trade management and its environment on the whole. (MAP)SL/
