American investments in the UAE recede

Chairman of the council specialized in supporting the Americans in Dubai and the Northern Arab emirates T.B. Makliland has admitted that American investment in the United Arab Emirates UAE have been affected as a result of the people's boycott of the American commodities and products since the eruption of the Palestinian Intifada.
In a statement to the UAE daily al-Khaleij issued on Monday, Makliland added that the most economic sectors that are vulnerable are the works of the " take away food," noting that he does not know the extend of this effect in figures.
For his part, the chairman of commerce and agriculture department at the American consulate told the paper that the sales receded at a rate of 30 to 40%.
