Israeli official predicts the resumption of peace talks on the Syrian track

The new Israeli Consul general in New York Aloun Benkas has expected the resumption of peace talks on the Syrian track during a period within 6 to 8 coming months.
The Israeli daily " Jerusalem Post" quoted Benkas as saying before the main heads American- Jewish organizations last week that he based this resumption on his understanding of the Middle East facts and not on the ground of a concrete plan by the Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak to this effect.
