Iraq criticizes the UN over British American violations of its airspace
Iraq, Politics, 1/8/2001
Iraq on Sunday renewed its criticism of the silence of the UN secretary General, the UN security Council and the UN inspection committee over the daily violations carried out by the American and British warplanes.
In a message the Iraqi foreign minister Muhammad Saeed al-Sahaf addressed to the UN secretary general, he urged the UN mission to carry out its set mission in monitoring any hostile acts against Iraq, stressing that the British and American warplanes continue daily their violations and military aggressions against Iraq.
The Iraqi foreign minister said that the failure of the UN observers team in implementing UN security council resolutions 687 and 689 will raise a legitimate wondering concerning the credibility and objectivity of the team's reports.
