Saudi- Iranian committee meets in al-Riyadh

Meetings of the Saudi- Iranian committee in its 3rd session will be held on January 16 by the ministers of commerce in the two countries.

The Saudi daily Okaz said that meetings of the committee will work for materializing opportunities of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries into a tangible reality and enhancing joint economic work and expanding its prospects, noting that the committee will discuss economic, trade, investment, health and sport issues.

Worthy mentioning that the first meeting for the said committee was in 1998 and the two sides agreed to form branch committees on economic, trade, investment, health, technical and sport cooperation.

Meantime, an official source at the Saudi foreign ministry had denied what was stated by the United Arab Emirates UAE al- Itihad following the meetings summit of the recent Gulf Cooperation Council that the GCC member states will take decisive measures against Tehran, SANA reported.
