US, Turkey and Israel naval maneuvers in the Mediterranean

The spokesman for the Israeli army said on Thursday that Israel, the US and Turkey will make naval maneuvers in the Mediterranean off Israel on January 17th.

He Israeli military spokesman said that these maneuvers have no link to any sort of fighting activities, rather they intend to make training on special emergency measures to rescue persons endangered in the sea.

Taking part in these maneuvers are a group of ships and helicopters as planes from the American Turkish and Israeli naval forces.

Worthy mentioning that Israel and Turkey in 1996 established bilateral military co-operation through an agreement permits their planes to make training in the airspace of each of them.

On the other hand, the Israeli air industries said on Thursday it will improve F15 warplanes for the Brazilian airforce after the Brazilian Senate approved this deal.

The israeli radio said that the cost of this deal will be US $ 200 million and will be implemented within 6 years.
