Morocco, Pakistan Debate Economic Cooperation

Ways to enhance cooperation in economic and trade realms topped talks held here Wednesday between Moroccan industry, trade, energy and mining minister, Mustapha Mansouri, and Pakistan's ambassador to Morocco, Shujaat Ali Khan.
Mansouri deplored that Moroccan-Pakistani trade exchanges are short of the excellent ties binding the two nations, not exceeding $ 50 million.
Ali Khan and Mansouri insisted on the need to enforce an association accord concluded between the Moroccan phosphates corporation (OCP) and the Pakistani Al-Nour Fertilizers Group for the construction of a urea and ammoniac production unit.
The Pakistani diplomat said his country has strong potentials to develop cooperation with Morocco, especially in the field of ship-building, textile and new technologies.
Pakistani trade minister will visit Morocco next March to debate with Moroccan officials means to upgrade bilateral cooperation.
