New explosion in Aden
Yemen, Local, 1/3/2001

One person was wounded when a bomb went off outside the offices of the Yemeni News Agency Sabaa in Aden on Tuesday Yemeni officials said that the wounded were hit by glass pieces resulting from the explosion.

Meantime, a Yemeni official source said on Tuesday that the three bombs which were thrown on Monday against a hotel and a church in the city of Aden in South Yemen were confined to limited material losses and no human casualties were reported.

The sources added that the explosion took place in the church in Aden inflected damages in one of the walls while the two bombs which were dropped against the Hotel fell in the sea and that the police is at the meantime investigating the incident.

Worthy mentioning that security measures have been tightened in Aden since October when an attack took place against the US warship "USS Cole" resulted in killing 17 Americans.
