Elections in Sudan

Manual selection of votes of the voting ballots in Sudan started Saturday at 7 a.m. for the elections of both the Presidency and the Parliament. These elections have lasted for ten days.
The secretary general of the general elections in Sudan Jalal Ahmad said that the selection operations are taking place in the presence of the candidates or their agents, besides foreign inspection delegation at the African Unity Organization and the Arab League.
He added that the selection operations will be made at the level of municipalities and provinces and then the results will be successively submitted to the higher committees in the Sudanese states which by its turn submit it to the general elections committee today ( Saturday) and tomorrow ( Sunday) before announcing the final results in a press conference to be held on Monday.
Worthy mentioning that five candidates have competed on the Presidency besides the competition on 370 parliamentary seats of the parliament which is composed of 360 seats of which 90 are privately and indirectly selected ( appointed by the President himself).
