An Iraqi pharmacist assassinated in Sanaa

The pharmacist Sami Hashem al-Samer'ai of Iraqi nationality was killed on Wednesday after he was shot to death in al-Riyadh street in the downtown of the Yemeni capital Sanaa upon he was walking at night to the mosque.

The intention of the killer who is called Muhammad al-Sawdi who fled away, was not know yet.

It was learnt that al-Sawdi is working within the team guarding the Yemeni minister of culture and tourism Abdul Malik Mansour.

During this year, 2000, three Iraqis were killed in Sanaa, including the Iraqi student Zeinab Saud Aziz which the Sudanese killer Muhammad Adam admitted killing her during his work at the Yemeni Faculty of medicine in Sanaa. One Iraqi doctor was killed in his room at the hotel in Sanaa, while an Iraqi teacher was found killed and his body was thrown in a well in al-Hasbeh area in the capital.
