Lahlimi opens young enterprise house in Laayoun
Morocco, Economics, 12/21/2000
Morocco's Minister of social economy, small and medium enterprise (SME) and handicraft, in charge of government's general affairs Ahmed Lahlimi inaugurated here Tuesday the city's "house of young enterprise."
The project was carried out as part of a nationwide scheme to set up similar houses in different cities of the kingdom in implementation of royal instructions. In July, the ministry passed a convention with the Office National de l'Eau Potable (ONEP) and the Banque Populaire in a joint bid to provide young promoters easier access to required services.
The house in Laayoun will provide a meeting place for young entrepreneur associations, updated information on legal and business matters and a mailing and working space, with internet and other services available, in early months of operation.
Lahlimi recalled, on the occasion, the importance king Mohammed VI granted SME, especially nascent ones, as a driving force of the economy and valuable contribution to development.
