US $ 930 million, Saudi aids to Somalia

The chairman of the Somali parliament Abdullah Yitzhak said that Saudi Arabia vowed to offer to the Somali people financial aids estimated at US $ 930 million as a contribution to rebuilding the country and revive services establishments destroyed during the ten year of civil war in the country.
The Somali parliament speaker added that part of the Saudi financial support is spent in meeting the requirements of the Somali government's sources.
Meantime, the government's forces have controlled the city of Balaad in the central district of Shbeili, 35 Km to the north of Makadishu in a new step to impose its control outside the capital.
News reports from the city that the city was controlled without fighting after its citizens voiced solidarity with government's forces.
