Voting process to elect a president for the Sudanese republic and members of the national council have almost reached an end amid varied rates in the number of voters. This rate reached in Khartoum province between 80 to 90 % in the outskirts and 60% in the internal centers.
The chairman of the higher elections committee of Khartoum province said on Wednesday in a statement to the Sudanese daily al-Sahafa that the official day off offered by the government on Tuesday ( the day before yesterday) contributed to raising the rate of voting as several ballot centers witnessed great turnout in the number of voters.
He explained that the last survey by the chambers of voting operations said that until Monday voting rate reached 50% in Khartoum province where the number of persons eligible for voting is 1.3 million voters.
Worthy mentioning that these elections will be concluded on 23rd December and final results will be announced on December 25th.
