Mubarak attends tomorrow Lilat al Qadr celebration

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak will attend tomorrow the celebration of Lilatn al Qadr "(the night of grandeur), the night in which the glorious Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohamed" to be held by Ministry of Wakfs "endowments" at the Conference Center in Nassr City.

Mubarak will deliver a speech during the celebration tackling the nobel meanings of Lilat al Qadr, the speech will also tackle the latest developments in the Middle East, challenges facing Islamic nation and ways of confronting them.

Minister of Wakfs, Mahmoud Hamdi Zaqzoq said the ministry allocated LE 10 million to the Qur'an memorizers competition who come from Egypt and the world at large.

Meanwhile, President Mubarak will honor the first three winners in the competition, carried out annually by the Ministry.

Moreover, the world competition jury committee for Al-Quran memorizes includes members from Egypt, Syria, Malaysia, Morocco and United Arab Emirates.

The committee named yesterday the winners who will be honored by President Mubarak and given financial prizes that average between LE 30,000 down to LE 6,000. The celebration will be attended by the Prime Minister, People's Assembly and Shura Council speakers, Arab ambassadors in Cairo, AL Azhar Grand Imam, the Republic's Mufti and prominent figures from Al-Azhar and Al-Awkaf.
