Human rights defense is responsibility of everybody, head of AI-Morocco

Secretary general of Amnesty International-Morocco (AI) stressed in Settat Monday the defense and preservation of human rights is the responsibility of the government, the civil society and individuals.
The AI official who was moderating a conference on the universal human rights declaration said the encounter is part of encounters held by the civil society to draw the authorities' attention to human rights protection so that Morocco can hold its due place internationally.
He also hoped the government and society go beyond debates on human rights principles to daily practice.
The conference was part of a cinema encounter on images and the struggle against violence held this Dec.11-18.
