Djirjian and peace between Syria and Israel

Edward Djirjian ( former US ambassador in Damascus ) who has been mentioned by Bush aides for the post of the US under secretary of state at the George W. Bush administration said that the peace process between Israel and Syria can be easily achieved more than on the Israeli- Palestinian track and therefore it is possible that the US administration will change its policy concerning the question of negotiations in the region. Djirjian told the Washington Post that peace between Israel and Syria will eliminate tension and possible dangers of wars.
