Mubarak mulls over government's plan of action with Ebeid

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak Monday entrusted Prime Minster Atef Ebeid with implementing his directives to the government.
During the joint meeting of the Parliament two Houses, the President announced on Sunday the coming plan of action of the government.
Mubarak called on the government to draw its plans and timetables, to be later submitted to the ruling National Democratic Party panels for deliberations, Information Minister Safwat Al-Sherif said after Mubarak met with his prime minister.
The NDP would summon other parties to look into the documents to come to an agreement on the priorities and recommendations that would be put in shape in the government programs in the coming phase, he said.
President Mubarak also discussed, with Ebeid, taking serious steps towards establishing a common Arab market according to the recent pan-Arab summit resolutions.
The Minister of Information said the President assigned the government with conducting a full dressed study on deepening Arab economic cooperation mainly in the domain of services.
The prime minister referred to power linkage project, telephones, gas pipelines telecommunications and information.
He said Egypt is currently drafting a full dressed paper on these aspects to be submitted to the next Arab summit.
The minister of information said the prime minister briefed the president on the economic situation and a number of topics which will be put forward to the cabinet next meeting.
