Notable competition in the Sudanese presidential, parliamentary elections

The voting process for the Sudanese Presidential and parliamentary elections had its 6th day on Monday with remarkable competition on several voting provisions, centers and provinces especially in the villages and the rural areas whereas slowness was prevailing other centers especially in the capital al-Khartoum.
Meantime ballot centers spread in 56 Sudanese embassies have been witnessing increasing turnout in the number of voters as the rate of voters who cast their votes reached between 50 to 70 % of the total number of eligible voters of 350,000 Delegations representing regional and Arab organizations headed for the Southern Sudanese city of Juba to inspect the good process of the elections in the cities of Wao and Malkal.
Meantime the chairman of the general elections commission Abdul Menem al-Zein al-Nahas leave Khartoum today to the Arab Gulf region to monitor the process of the elections at the Sudanese election centers and embassies in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
On another development, the Sudanese Ummah party led by al-Sadeq al-Mahdi said that its consultations have continued with the government in order to reach a final agreement that will lead to a comprehensive solution that will be debated with other political forces to be agreed upon and then to move to a new phase that will lead to democracy and freedom.
In a statement to the Sudanese daily " al-Sahafa" issued on Monday, the first deputy for the chairman of the al-Ummah party Omar Nur al-Dayem said that the draft agreement will be submitted to the party's various departments for approval. He noted the possibility of his party's participation together with other Sudanese political forces in the Authority but under the condition that there will be an implementing mechanism, for this agreement, adding it will be most expectedly a national government or a national program government including al-Ummah party and others.
