An Iraq trade delegation has arrived in Muscat representing the Iraqi foreign ministry in a visit to Oman that will last for five days at the invitation of the Omani center for investment promotion and export development. An official at the center said it is known that the Iraqi government has been importing several foodstuffs according to the UN oil for food program. He added: " Therefore the Omani center seeks to open connection channels with the Iraqi foreign ministry by sending high ranking Ministry officials to discuss the possibility of getting the Omani produce. Yemen's prime minister Abdul Karim al-Eryani has commended the results concluded by the meetings of the Saudi- Yemeni coordination council, that mark the beginning of a new breakthrough in bilateral cooperation relations towards new prospects at all levels. He explained upon his arriving back home from Saudi Arabia the great care shown by the two states' leaderships as a fruit to the achievements made to this effect by King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz and President Ali Abdullah Saleh by signing the joint border demarcation treaty between Saudi Arabia and Yemen. The Iraqi ministry of health said that more than 10,000 Iraqis died in November because of the embargo imposed on Iraq since more than 10 years. In a statement issued on Sunday, the Iraqi ministry said that 7556 Iraqi children died in November because of Diarrhea, breathing diseases and malnutrition and that 3390 adults died because of heart- diseases, blood pressure, diabetics and cancer. He continued that thereby number of children and adults died in November tolled 1-946 Iraqis. Go

A pneumatic raft bearing 27 Moroccan nationals who tried to stow their way into Spain, reported drifting in the Gibraltar Strait Friday, could not be located up to Monday morning despite intensive research operation in the area. At midnight on Friday after a cell phone call of distress, Spanish rescue boats, choppers and reconnaissance planes took-off to comb the area located between the Strait and the Al Boran Sea, halfway between the Moroccan city of Mellilia and Almeria in Spain.
