Ouarzazat center to dispense farming and handicraft training for disabled
Morocco, Culture, 12/18/2000
The local "Afak" association for the disabled said it is setting up a training center to dispense farming and handicraft training for disabled persons.
The center to be operated with assistance from the international France orphans association will prepare the handicapped for economic integration and help stop exodus towards urban centers. It will also provide small credits to graduates to start small businesses.
The center, said Afak secretary general, will be operated thanks to revenues coming from the hotel built in Ouarzazat catering for the needs of the disabled and meant to promote "tourism for the handicapped."
