Palestine-Israel, Economics, 12/18/2000

A Palestinian security official said that Israel has permitted some 1250 palestinian workers from Gaza strip to cross Gaza through Erez barrier to work inside the Hebrew state following a closure of three months time.

The commander of the Palestinian national security forces in North Gaza strip Maj. gen. Saeb al-Ajez said that " 1250 Palestinian workers were able on Sunday morning from joining their work in israel after they had been banned for three months," stressing that this number of permitted Palestinians into Israel is not enough.
