Vatican foreign minister carries on talks in Rabat

Secretary of the Holy See in charge of relations with states (foreign minister), Monsignor Jean-Luis Tauran, who is presently on a visit to Morocco, held on Friday talks with speakers of the two parliament's chambers. On Thursday Mgr Tauran, who arrived on Wednesday in Morocco, met at the royal palace king Mohammed VI and handed him a message from Pope Jean Paul II.
Morocco was the first Muslim country ever to receive the pope in August 1985 at the invitation of the late King Hassan II.
