The Lebanese Shebaa farms and Syria's position

The Lebanese paper al-Mustaqbal said on Monday quoting sources close to Damascus that Syria which handed over the UN general secretariat a document confirming the Lebanese identity of " Shebaa " farms cannot continue more with this matter on the ground of several considerations in that Damascus cannot make legal measures to make demarcation of borders between Syria and Lebanon under the Israeli occupation.
The paper added, according to the same sources, that in case Damascus will take measures concerning Shebaa farms, at the request of the UN and the International forces to prove the Lebanese identity of these farms, these sides might raise similar issues that might be groundless like considering parts of the lands surrounding the Tibires lake as not Syrians.
