A new Satellite space channel

Preliminary studies to found an Islamic satellite channel to be launched next year. This decision came at the proposal proposed by Doha to ALECSO in its recent conference which was held in al-Rabat in November.

News reports said that Qatar, recently presided over the Organization of the Islamic Conference OIC, proposed to host this channel; on its land to cover all parts of the world by live languages for Muslims and this channel will deal the Islamic cultural side and the dialogue of civilizations and religions in its programs.

A high ranking Qatari official said that administration of the Islamic satellite channel will be under the umbrella of ISESCO, so as the programs will be of Islamic nature. He explained that Qatar will allocate the satellite an independent states at the complex of the TV and radio station which includes the Qatari satellite station and al-Jazira satellite station. It is most expectedly that Qatar will pay all costs of this channel in co-ordination with ALECSO the Arab league Education, Culture and Scientific Organization.
