60 percent of Sheikh Zayed Canal constructed

Egyptian Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mahmoud Abu Zeid said 60% of Sheikh Zayed Canal and more than 53 % of the Mubarak pumping station was constructed.
Abu-Zeid during an inspection tour in Toskha project, said the water would be pumped in Sheikh Zayed Canal in September 2002.
The Minister said an investment Company, which got land in Toskha, dug ten water wells to irrigate plantations.
The Minister added that anew kind of liquid explosives was used to avoid pollution and protect the enviroment of the region.
