Egypt ranks second among Arabs in receiving foreign investments-report

A report released by the United Nations Committee on Trade And Development (UNCTAD) said that Egypt ranks second in the Arab area following Saudi Arabia in receiving foreign investments.
The report which monitors the volume of investments worldwide, added that all the Arab countries' share is only $ 8.7 billion out of the total foreign investments amounted to $ 865 billion.
It mentioned that Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Tunisia take 71.6 percent of the foreign investments heading to the Arab countries from 1998 to 1999.
