King Mohammed hands out meals and donations to welfare association

Morocco's King Mohammed VI, accompanied by Prince Moulay Rachid, visited Friday the Sidi Said social complex in Meknes where he handed out more "Ftur" fast-breaking meals to the needy and donated 150,000 USD for the restoration of the seat of the Islamic welfare association.
The Ramadan campaign staged in the Meknes area by the Mohammed V Solidarity Foundation benefits 313 needy households in urban areas getting
700 meals daily while in surrounding rural areas 1,600 households rely on food handed out by the foundation.
The king later visited the Hassan II mosque in Meknes' Sbata neighborhood to monitor unfolding of the fight against the nationwide illiteracy campaign with alphabetization courses dispensed in mosques.
