General-manager of the Islamic educational, scientific and cultural organization "ISESCO," Abdelaziz Othmane Al Tuwaijri, handed Thursday King Mohammed VI, Amir Al Muminine, the organization emblem for special care for ISESCO and outstanding efforts at the service of Islamic action and solidarity.
The highest distinction awarded by ISESCO to heads of states of member countries was handed to the sovereign after the fourth religious Ramadan lecture he chaired Thursday afternoon. The sovereign also received copies of latest ISESCO publications.
The king was later greeted by regional manager of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Hani Salem Sanbal who handed him, on behalf of the bank chairman, works on "Zakat," Islamic banks and financing modes published by IDB's Islamic research and training institute.
Since inception in 1974, IDB financed several economic development projects and trade transactions in favor of Morocco worth over 1.5 billion USD.
